Question regarding selling products on site for both the U.S. and U.K.

We have a new project where the client is selling products on a U.S. page to their U.S. customers using $ currency and a separate page on the site selling products to their U.K. based customers using the £ currency. Is there any special considerations when setting up the checkout page, especially in regards to the payment gateway?

* I'm assuming this will not be an issue with the Payment gateway having 2 different currencies being used on checkout?
* We have looked at Braintree and 2checkout since they both handle US and GB. Do you have any other (better) recommendations?

I'm assuming this all very straight forward, but wanted to double check to make sure there's no issues we should be aware of before starting.
