add alt attribute to Credit card images in email template

A very tiny feature request and a question.

I was testing the 'deliverability' of emails receipts from foxycart and the testing site I used said that the email was missing an 'alt' attribute on an image (which can affect deliverability slightly).

The image is the credit card payment method image.

Since I am using a custom template, I just added alt="" to this line:
<div class="fc-payment_method" style="margin: 0;padding: 0;font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;margin-top: -9px;letter-spacing: 1px;">{{ cc_number_masked }} {% if cc_type|lower in ['amex','discover', 'maestro', 'mastercard', 'solo', 'switch', 'visa'] %}<img src="https://{{ config.store_domain }}/static/images/payment_logos/email/{{cc_type|lower}}.png" width="35" style="margin: 0;padding: 0;font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;max-width: 100%;position: relative;top: 6px;">{% endif %}</div>

like this

<div class="fc-payment_method" style="margin: 0;padding: 0;font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;margin-top: -9px;letter-spacing: 1px;">{{ cc_number_masked }} {% if cc_type|lower in ['amex','discover', 'maestro', 'mastercard', 'solo', 'switch', 'visa'] %}<img src="https://{{ config.store_domain }}/static/images/payment_logos/email/{{cc_type|lower}}.png" width="35" style="margin: 0;padding: 0;font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;max-width: 100%;position: relative;top: 6px;" alt="credit card logo">{% endif %}</div>

For people using the default receipt email template it would be good if you could put in the alt attribute.

And my question:

Since I an using a custom template for the receipt email, what do I do about version control? If you make changes to the default template then obviously I don't get those changes in my custom template. Do you post a changelog for the templates?

Thanks
