Customer attributes for custom properties?

Hey guys,

In the Foxy API documentation I see reference to fx:attributes in the Example Representation of the customer resource. (But not as a "zoomable resource" .. I'm not sure why)

Is the fx:customer > fx:attributes resource where we would post our "custom properties" for that customer? For example, I'm assuming we could post an "external_id" for the customer in this attribute section?

That's correct - you would use the attributes relation to store any custom values you need for a given resource. Attributes can be set for clients, users, stores, transactions, carts, subscriptions, shipments, items, and customers.

As for zooming on attributes for customers - that should be possible now (it does at least in my tests), but it appears we've missed that on the documentation. I'll create a ticket to get that corrected.

Are the fx:customer > fx:attributes available in the JSON object in checkout once a user is logged in? (SSO?)

Good question. Currently no - attributes are not exposed as part of the client-side JSON object. It's something we have discussed as a possibility, but not one we've tackled yet.
