Set up product with user entered price

I can't figure out how to do this. I create consulting agreements and then send customers to site to purchase and need each purchase to have a custom price instead of a set price.

    @TimTeichman,

    Thanks for posting - that is indeed possible. If you set up your add to cart as a form, you can add in a text input with a name of "price" for the customer to then enter in any amount. As an example:
    <form action="https://YOURSTORE.foxycart.com/cart" method="post" accept-charset="utf-8">
    <input type="hidden" name="name" value="Invoice" />
    <label for="price">Amount To Pay:</label>
    <input type="text" id="price" name="price" value="" />
    <input type="submit" value="Pay Invoice" class="submit" />
    </form>
    I hope that helps!
  • Sorry, no, I don't understand. When I set up and configure products using foxyshop there is no HTML.

    Hi @TimTeichman -

    Sorry about that. It's a little different using FoxyShop. You'll want to set up a Variation as a single line of text input. The Variation Name should have {price} appended to the end of it. So it might be Amount{price}.

    You'll want to make the field required.

    Hope that helps. Let us know if you need additional information.
