I'm pretty new to coding in general. So my apologies in advance for the questions (3 at the moment)...

1. I'm looking to sell only downloadable products. What is the storage limit? I know the per-file max is 250MB, but is there an overall storage limit per store/account?

2. Can any other attributes be added to products? I need to be able to track sales by contributor; so is there any way that I can add, say, a userid to the product?

3. Still a little unclear on how each product's link is generated. So my store is, and I have a product in the images category with code cd0001. Would the add-to-cart link be ??

    Hi @aprilrwat
    We're happy to help.

#1: There's no hard limit. It's rarely an issue, but if we have an account that's storing a huge number of files but not selling anything (to the point where it's costing us money to serve that account), we'll reach out. Generally not a big concern, though.

    #2: Absolutely.
You can add as many custom product parameters as you'd like. If any should be hidden (ie. not displayed to the customer in the cart), you can configure that in the template configuration.

#3: It depends on whether you're doing downloadable products or not, but that link looks good (for downloadable products). The difference between downloadables and non-downloadables are that you set the price, code, and name in the Foxy admin for downloadables. For all other products, you set that in the link (and they you'll want to copy/paste the links into the "sample code" page to sign them:

    Does that help?

    Hello @aprilrwat -

Happy to answer any questions for you. I'll need to check with someone else here to see if there's a max storage per store, but can help with your other questions.

You can add custom attributes to a product by including the attribute name and value in the link, like userid=001.

You're close on the link! You just need to make sure you also include the product name and price. So a link that also includes the userid would look like this

You'll want to run that link through the encoder in the admin ( once you've got it the way you want it, since you're encoding links (unless you're encoding them another way). You can then just paste it into a browser address bar to see what it'll look like in the cart. Let us know if you need help with that, and also feel free to reach out

Looks like we cross-posted there, so Brett was able to answer your #1 question as well :)
