I just signed up with Foxy Cart and I'm trying to set everything up with not-so-much luck.

Specifically, I am trying to add drop down boxes that will allow for different pricing options. Problem is, I have no clue how to do that. Any tips? Thanks so much!

    Hi weedygiraffe. (Cool name, BTW :)

    Were you trying to modify the price of an item with options for that item? ie. view the page and source on something like this:

    http://www.tookdev.com/public/foxy/optionform.html

    The drop-down in this case will add different amounts to the base price using special codes in the form value setting. (The checkboxes do the same thing as well, but allow more than one option to be picked.) Taking the first option, this code:
    <select name="Size">
    <option value="Small{p+2.00}">Small (+$2)</option>
    <option value="Medium" selected="selected">Medium</option>
    <option value="Enormous{p+150.00}">Enormous (+$150)</option>
    </select>

    ...handles the drop down box, along with the price changes. Take a single line:
    <option value="Enormous{p+150.00}">Enormous (+$150)</option>

    ...and the important part is this:
    value="Enormous{p+150.00}"

    ...the special code "{p+150.00}" tells foxycart that if that item is picked, to increase the overall price by $150.00. There are more options that can be changed, and a deeper overview here: http://wiki.foxycart.com/getting_started:adding_links_and_forms#changing_price_weight_or_product_codes_with_attributes

    Does that help you get started?
  • Huge help, exactly what I needed and it worked like a charm! Thank you so much!
