Send actual data to the datafeed receipt page for testing?

I'm going to be completing my code for receiving the datafeed from Foxycart. I've got the test XML string from your docs, but my client doesn't have all the extra stuff. Is it possible to get a test send of one the actual transactions that have already been made from his store? I just think it would be easier if I was using real data, rather than test data.
  • Also, your docs say that the datafeed receipt page will get a secure post containing the XML string. What's the form variable called which will contain the XML string?

    Hey Creole.

The simple answer, is "FoxyData", though it needs to be decrypted. We recommend checking out the other integrations (such as the MODx inventory snippet) as examples of how to decrypt the data and process the xml file:

    Try this, actually:

Just added that. Should make things a lot easier to play around with. Let us know if you think that little test generator could be improved.
  • So FoxyData is the form field name? Excellent.

I've got the encyption already managed. I just need to test the submission and make sure it works as intended.
  • Thanks for your help by the way.
