ok so i have not been on here or testing my cart for a bit, but when i use my testing email to test out my cart it spits out an error.

Error: There was an error processing your payment: This card type is not currently accepted. (Response Reason Code: )

i just need a CC test info. BTW before i stopped testing it was working fine, but that was a few months ago.

    Hello itisnot_me. What store is this for? Have you upgraded your store recently? Which payment gateway are you using? What test card number are you using?

    no i was testing on .60 before

    i have QuantumGateway.com settings and i tried to check use default testing server and still nothing

    You might have an amount total on your order which is throwing that error.
  • i do have a $5 amount on the total but i had that a few months ago and i still ran. what changed.

    also i did use those values on the gateway site and it still returned the same error

    Hmm... very strange. We haven't changed anything. Looks like they may have changed something. Googling around and found this: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=6879178

    If you just need to test the process, you can try using the authorize.net gateway and test account info.
  • thanks for the info on just changing it to authorize. it is working again. oh btw i like how i get an email if a transaction does not get processed cause of an error. very helpful.

    We were trading emails back and forth with support over at quantum (cool that they were active on a holiday weekend, eh?) and they mentioned something about us being on their backup server due to load balancing. They didn't change anything on their servers, but as soon they synced them up again, it started working. So... I don't know what the issue is, but it does seem to be working now.

    As for getting an email... are you referring to the XML Datafeed? We only send emails when the datafeed fails, but your transaction should be processed correctly if the gateway tells us it was processed correctly. The datafeed only deals with processed transactions.

    If you're using authorize.net, are you referring to the "held for review" email? That's a feature we recently added which will send an email if authorize.net responds with a special message in the case where the transaction has completed, but still has a hold status.
  • ya i was talking about when a datafeed fails. i think that is a new addition right? cause i dont remember getting one a few months back.
