HTTPS for Foxycart Script/CSS/Image Includes

in Bugs & Feature Requests edited April 2011
We fixed the problem by caching the scripts, css, and images on our own server, but using the default script src references causes an error when you include them on sites with a security certificate. It'd be nice to be able to reference those files securely in the future.

Can you provide some more details as to what you're trying to do here?

If you're referring to the cart/checkout/receipt pages, FoxyCart can securely cache your whole template including images, css and scripts automatically for you by caching the page in the administration.

Instead of this:
<script src=""; type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
<script src=""; type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href=""; type="text/css" media="screen" charset="utf-8" />

Be able to do this:
<script src="https://" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
<script src="https://" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://" type="text/css" media="screen" charset="utf-8" />
<!-- END FOXYCART FILES -->

And within the default colorbox.css file, have the images point to a secure server as well.

Hey stuckpixelryan. I think you're referring to the foxycart include files hosted by our CDN, correct? I think that's on our to-do list, but I'll have to get back to you on that.
• Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Like I said, it's not an enormous issue to cache the files on our own server, but it would probably make for a more seamless experience out-of-the-box if it worked that way.

Definitely something on the list that we've been taking steps to address. We've had some issues getting the SSL on our CDN but it should be up soon. Ping us back on this thread in a few weeks if you don't see it on the changelog.
• @brett: We've been waiting for this as well... any idea what the ETA is?
• fc_adamfc_adam FoxyCart Team

Unfortunately we don't have an ETA, but it is definitely on our list to get to as soon as we can. Thanks for bumping this thread.
• Hi, I have the same question two years later :). Can I use SSL on the CDN? I'd like to use protocol-relative links, e.g.:
<script src="//"></script>
