Customers having trouble downloading - errors

I've gotten several reports from customers saying that they purchased downloadable items and received errors when trying to download them. The error that was reported was "you have reached your maximum downloads."

I'm working on more information from users, but my client is concerned because he is going on tour and needs to be able to depend on the store.

Is there any information you can provide as to why this could happen? We've seen it before, but it seemed to have something to do with the links expiring or something. But now we've had several customers, all at the same time, with the same issue.

    Hello Dustin. Can you please let us know which store you're referring to? Also, what are your settings in the admin for how long the download links are valid? Has anyone adjusted those settings recently? Also, if you're using version 072, you can actually reset the download counts per transaction if needed.
