How do I restrict free shipping (USPS) to US addresses only?

My store currently:

1) Offers only USPS Priority shipping
2) Provides this shipping method free to all addresses worldwide

I would like to now restrict free shipping to only US shipping addresses, while charging live USPS rates to international shipping addresses.

How do I do this?

What you'd do is select the relevant live rates you want to allow international customers to use, and also select the custom free shipping option at the bottom of the shipping options. Then using some javascript on your checkout, you'd remove any returned shipping options that didn't apply. For example, if the customer is from the US you'd remove everything but the free option, otherwise you'd remove only the free option for other customers.

There are some scripts for live rates on our snippets page that should definitely get you started if not most of the way there:

OK thanks - that's what we ended up doing.
