Web User Account

Is there a way to pass foxycart account information, so the user is already logged-in when they reach the checkout page? I.E. The user has an account on the actual site and does not want to make another account upon checkout. Can these accounts be unified? I am thinking of this specifically for modx integration. Can a user sign in using their web user access?

    Hi Turgrid.
It's not currently supported, but it's an oft requested feature, so it'll probably show up sooner or later. If you have ideas for how you'd like to see this work, let us know. We have some ideas, but would love to hear a fresh perspective.

Yes, please give us your thoughts on this. We have some concerns about privacy (specifically access to a saved credit cards) so we've also talked about what roll encryption should play in the passing of information.

One thought we had would be to simply send a group of POST values to the cart page which would store them to the transaction record as it's created. This would probably bypass the foxycart login/password though. We'd probably need some kind of encrypted shared key to ensure the data is coming from the right place and for the right customer.
