"No Handling Fee" not working

This doesn't seem to work on my end.

The category is set up to have no Handling fee:

When checking out, this seems ok -- that is when the form is still blank:

But upon further testing, whenever I enter values to the "City" and "State/Province" fields, the shipping option gets added!

Any pointers how to fix this?

Thank you.

    @kedomingo -

    I see you have it set to not have a handling charge, but do you have shipping turned on? It looks like you're still on 0.7.1 or earlier, so the shipping options are at the bottom of the category page. If you have it set to still charge shipping it will apply a shipping charge even if there is no handling charge.

    As an aside, unless there is a good reason not to, I would recommend upgrading to 0.7.2.

    Does this help? Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • @lance, The shipping option is also disabled from the page, so I really don't have any idea what is happening here:

    Regarding the upgrade, I still have to test it -- though personally, I am afraid to make changes to an already (almost) working system.

    Are you using any custom shipping scripts, perhaps a flat rate script?

    Can you whisper me a link to this store so I can take a closer look?

    It seems that we are indeed using custom shipping script from here: http://wiki.foxycart.com/snippets/shipping/multiple_flat_rates

    However, it's not detecting if a category has shipping enabled. Is there a way to do this?

    Great - glad we were able to get this sorted. Post again if you've got any other questions, @kedomingo.
