We recently discovered an issue with historical shipto address information being viewed either through the admin, the datafeed, or the API. If the customer address had been modified since the original transaction, the historical information was lost and the new information was shown for that transaction.
Example: John Doe checks out using multiship and ships a package to Jane Doe at 12345 Any Street (we'll call this transaction #1). Later, John buys something else for Jane but updates her address to 12345 Awesome Street. Now, when he looks at the historical information on transaction #1
, he would see her address as Awesome Streeet instead of Any Street which is what it was at the time of that transaction.
We just rolled out a fix for this on all versions. From this point forward, the information will be displayed correctly. Previous transactions will show whatever information is available for the current custom address at the time you first view the transaction.
