Example sites without lightbox?

in Help edited October 2008
Anyone have an example site I can show my client that doesn't use the FoxyCart lightbox to display the cart? This client apparently thinks a lightbox is too "manly" to appeal to her largely-female customers, and is having difficulty understanding that FoxyCart can do more than a lightbox. If I had a visual example, it would go a long way to helping me convince her FoxyCart is the way to go.

Thanks in advance!

There have been 2 or 3 FoxyCart stores that I've seen do a full page cart, but 1 of them got bought out (before they even made a sale, no less) and the others implemented the thickbox...

However, here's an example by forum user Leftwave that's definitely not "manly":

The thing about it is that you could make it look like whatever you wanted without the thickbox, so... if she doesn't like it you could just have it display on a full page just like any other cart would do. No problems at all.

If you have 5 minutes you could just whip it up. Check the 2nd screencast here:

That's dealing with the checkout template, but you can handle the cart template in the exact same way.

Check the 3rd screencast if you want to customize it, but you probably don't want to bother with that until the client makes up her mind.

Oh, you know what, I just thought of one:
    http://www.servings.ca/

It's a _very_ different checkout flow, because there is a LOT of data to fill out, but there's no thickbox, and you can see just how much you can customize FoxyCart.
  • Awesome, thanks. I will show that to the client and cross my fingers.
