Upgrading from 0.7.2 to V1

I'm looking to upgrade my account to v1.

I have a very simple shop and use Paypal Express. Are there any obvious things to look out for or cost implications with the upgrade?

There will be a price change associated with the upgrade, which could either mean a decrease in your montly cost or a slight increase - depending on your usage.

For a simple shop, your main concern in terms of changes is probably the FoxyCart files included in your sites header to upgrade them.

For upgrading though, to make sure you don't miss anything, we recommend setting up a free development version of your site to match your existing site, and then upgrade that to 1.0 as a test before doing that on your live site.

    See upgrade notes here:
  • Hi Adam I notice on the upgrade that the standard package has the custom ssl at an extra $100 per year. As I use PayPal express exclusively, I assume this wouldn't apply.

The custom SSL is the custom domain name for your checkout as opposed to using the * subdomain. Details here:

It is completely optional, it's just whether you want to completely remove that reference to FoxyCart on the checkout or not.
  • OK cool. I'm fine with having FoxyCart there.

I will look at upgrading as it look like it makes sense.
