Options Values Not Being Used

richtestanirichtestani Member

I notice that FoxyCart uses text values as the value of it's data.
For example:
<select name="size">
  <option value"1"="">one size</option>
</select>

This will show in the cart as:
Size: One Size

which is right for the user, but the value in the datafeed for this is 'one size' as well and not '1'.
Is 1 lost in the transaction?

Thanks
Rich

    @richtestani,

    Actually it should be the value, not the label, that we use. Could you link us to a page where you're seeing the label being passed through and not the value?
  • Found it.
    Bug in my output was causing the value to be malformed.

    Thanks

  • So, a follow up.
    Is it possible to display the text instead of the value?

    Thanks

    @richtestani,

    FoxyCart gets what the form submits to us - and the form just submits the name of the input and it's corresponding value. If you want the label passed through, you need to set that text as the value.
