Hey sparksweb i believe you are the resident foxyshop expert so i will point this at you..

I have 3 foxycart questions..

Foxyshop on the category pages, the product images are being cropped. How can i stop this behavior?

Also i cant get the favicon to display on the checkout page ..it shows foxycarts favicon instead.

I have the below in my header file in my child theme folder.

<link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="https://website.com/favicon.ico"/>;

If i set it to "http" instead of "https" the favicon works but that breaks foxycarts ssl. There is no ssl on the domain so were only using the ssl foxycart provides. Any solution for this?

My last question is related to the checkout. In chrome and safari the product thumbnails dont show up after you click the checkout button in the purchase process. They show fine in firefox and IE. How can we make the product thumbnails show in chrome and safari too?

Thanks in advance
Yoa

    @yoa,

    @sparkweb is definitely the FoxyShop expert - he's actually the developer behind the plugin!

    Could you whisper your store domain to sparkweb and myself so we can look at your store? I'd love to see the favicon tripping up the SSL, the favicon shouldn't be doing that. You can whisper to us by entering our forum usernames, comma separated, into the text box that appears when you check the 'whisper' checkbox under the reply box.

    @yoa,

    To change the cropping behavior, you can either remove crop from the default thumbnails in WPAdmin > Settings > Media (then rebuild your thumbnails with this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/)

    Or you can change this line in foxyshop-product-loop.php:
    ` if ($thumbnailSRC = foxyshop_get_main_image("thumbnail")) echo '<a href="' . $product . '"><img src="' . $thumbnailSRC . '" alt="' . htmlspecialchars($product) . '" class="foxyshop_main_image" /></a>';`

    To:

    ` if ($thumbnailSRC = foxyshop_get_main_image("medium")) echo '<a href="' . $product . '"><img src="' . $thumbnailSRC . '" alt="' . htmlspecialchars($product) . '" class="foxyshop_main_image" /></a>';`

    The favicon issue is an unresolved one right now. Insecure favicons didn't used to be a problem but in FF 21 they started to be a problem. I posted a ticket about it here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=878153 but they don't seem to be too concerned about it. I'm not really sure what can be done.

    For anyone dealing with insecure ICO issues, I'd recommend using PNG. This post is insanely helpful and pretty up to date for 2013 at least. http://www.jonathantneal.com/blog/understand-the-favicon/
