Thickbox Troubles

I have heard from many customers now that after they click the add to cart button the "screen goes dark and the spinny thing just keeps spinning" and the cart never loads. I have verified with a few customers that javascript is enabled.

I have read through both the foxycart and thickbox forums and can't seem to find a solution. If anyone has insight please share.

maybe a browser/internet security software is blocking it?

Thanks,

    Hi Dave.
Is there a specific browser and version that this is happening with? There's a really obscure IE6 security setting that will cause problems, but we've only ever heard of this happening two or three times in the last year or two, so for you to have multiple people reporting this problem makes me think it's something else (unless a disproportionate number of your customers are using IE6 with this security setting).

Can you dig a little to determine the browser, browser version, and OS the customers are running into problems with? If we can duplicate it we can probably fix it, but until then we can't do much.

Nice looking site, by the way. You should seriously give a look to the 2nd and 3rd screencasts here:

Your site is really gorgeously clean. I'd love to see the checkout match, and I'm sure it'd help your conversions as well.
  • The customers were all using Internet Explorer 6 on a PC. Looking through my analytics about 30% of the users on my site are using IE6. What is this magical security setting you speak of?

Thanks for the compliments on the site, and thanks for the link to the screen casts. I will definitely follow the steps to match the design of the site to the checkout, thanks for the suggestion!
