Template Caching Issues

It has come to our attention that many of you are having trouble getting your cached templates to show. We apologize for the delayed response as much of our team was out for the weekend.

We are working hard to resolve the issue as quick as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks for your emails and forum posts giving us the heads up.     Our team got together and just discovered the cause of this issue. On Friday, we made a change to our file caching mechanism to further improve performance. It's a best practice setting and something we figured would only impact our code deploys, which we have an updated policy to handle. We had no idea the setting would also impact a portion of the template caching process which does save files to disk.

    Testing didn't reveal this issue until our users alerted us of the problem on Saturday. Unfortunately, we weren't aware of the issue until today (Sunday), as most of our team does not work through the weekends.

    We just reverted the change made on Friday and things should be caching correctly now. We'll be looking into this further next week to determine what steps we need to take to avoid this issue in the future. We're very sorry to have caused you problems, especially over the weekend.
