2.0 manually caching background

I am trying out 2.0 on a test store (and I'm super excited, because it looks fantastic!). I have been using the AutoMagiCache method in a live store on 1.1, but I would like to switch to the default responsive template for 2.0. When I try to customize it by adding css via the configuration settings, I can get most things to work (changing colors, etc.) but I'm having trouble with the background image. I'm trying to manually cache it, since my site is not https, but I think I must be doing something wrong. The css I have is this:
<style>
#fc body {
background: url("https://dustytest.foxycart.com/cache.php?url=http://manufacturing.dustystrings.com/images/background-4x3.jpg";) no-repeat fixed center top cover #c5823a;
}
#fc .fc-cart__items__header {
background-color: #343029;
}
</style>

The cart__items__header background color works, but the body background image doesn't. The "#fc body" selector shows up in firebug, but the brackets are empty. I think I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't figure out what it is.

I'll whisper a url.
