Email templates functioning weirdly

I have an email template and have chosen the "send as plain text only" option, but for some reason when I place test orders I get an HTML email as well as a text email.

The text email is what I really actually want, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong or if this is a known bug within the system. Please help :)

    Hi. It's very possible that it's a bug, but what version is your store, and are the emails you're referring to for the main receipt or a category? And if it's a category thing, is it the admin templates or the customer templates or both?
