Ask email twice when checking out

We're using foxycart 1.1, and we've found that some of our customers mistype their emails.
Is there a way to include that in the checkout page, so they re-type it.

Additionally, If we fix the email on our backend, is it possible to change the email in foxycart too?

    There isn't an inbuilt option to display two email fields - but you could certainly customise your 1.1 checkout to include an additional email field and apply your own validations there to require that the second email matches the first.

    To play devil's advocate though - by adding in a second email field, there is always the chance that the user will make the same spelling mistake on the second field as they do on the first, and you're also introducing additional work for the majority of the customers who are typing in their email correctly the first time. Not to say you shouldn't do it - but just to point out the other side of the coin.
    Additionally, If we fix the email on our backend, is it possible to change the email in foxycart too?
    Unfortunately it's not possible to edit historical receipts currently. If it's a subscription, you can transfer a subscription to a different email - but that will only affect future renewals, the historical transactions related to it will remain as the incorrect email.


    Also as an aside, we have a feature we'll be adding to an upcoming new version of the checkout to perform some validations on the email itself to try to prevent these types of common mis-spellings. We had hoped to include it in 2.0 but unfortunately it didn't make it in.
