Adding images to cart listed products in 2.0?

I would like to see what they look like a la FoxyCart's way of rendering the cart but I can't seem to get them to appear.

In a forum post I read that one can add an image URL parameter like so...

<a href="https://{{ config.store_domain }}/cart?name=product&price=4.99&{{ session_name }}={{ session_id }}&image=http://storedomain/wp-content/images/product-thumb.jpg">
</a>

But that's not working. FoxyCart automagic thingy complains about a non-secure image in that URL even though the same image is cached successfully using the same exact URL to the image in another link that does not include it as a URL parameter.

Any ideas on how I can get this to work? I've whispered an example cart page.

  • Oops. It wasn't in an A anchor but rather in a regular IMG tag. That image is cached just fine. It's the image when placed into a URL parameter that is not being cached and presumably not being displayed because of that.

  • Anybody have any input on this or should I figure out how to add images into the code apart from FoxyCart's implementation of such a capability?

    Hi Carlos.
    I checked your link, but unfortunately, I couldn't find a product link like you mentioned. Only a product form without the image parameter. Please provide a link with an example that we can test.

    Thanks,
    Josh
  • Sorry Josh. I took it down as I didn't know what to make of the Foxycart autonagic warning.

    I'll put it back up as soon as I get a chance.
