What is the most quick and easy to use CMS for Foxycart + Sitegrinder?

I'm relatively new to web design and development, with limited HTML and javascript knowledge. I'm still learning so I'm using Sitegrinder + Foxycart to create an ecommerce site. I've used Wordpress and Magento before so I assumed that when building a site with Sitegrinder + Foxycart there would be some sort of CMS built in already.

Now I've read the Foxycart introduction and since there is no integrated CMS, can someone suggest a few quick and easy to integrate CMS's for someone very very knew to HTML and javascript? I have about one to two months to get this up and running and I hope I don't have to start learning PHP and other server side languages for this.

Thank You!

If you're familiar with WordPress a little already, there are two existing WordPress plugins you could utilise, as well as a number of other integrations that might be of use:
  • Thanks for the reply. Since I've already created a frontend site using Sitegrinder but lacks a backend CMS, is it possible to combine my Sitegrinder site with Wordpress's backend CMS and using Foxycart at the same time? I know that I can create a new theme for Wordpress and combine it with Foxycart but that would mean all my work on the current site will be gone to waste.

  • However I am also open to the possibility, if necessary, of creating a new Wordpress theme with Sitegrinder and then using Foxyshop/Foxycart for the ecommerce side. I know that Foxycart has an automatic matching function to match the checkout page with the theme of a website. Does this also work with Foxyshop? If so how does it work?

If I am to create a new Wordpress theme, I would like my Foxyshop page to look as much like part of my theme as possible. Is there a matching function for that or do I have to style everything by hand with CSS?

Hi @jcyin - there's a little bit of a learning curve with building WordPress themes. If you are familiar with WP themes, though, coding the FoxyShop pages to match shouldn't be a big deal. It's a bit of CSS and theme work. Here's a little bit of reading to get you started:

As far as the checkout customization, here's a demo video I did that lays it out pretty clearly:
