Captcha rendering different on foxycart cart/checkout pages

Hi guys,

Our site renders a captcha image with yellow background for a review form on a sidebar.
When a customer goes to the foxy cart or checkout page, that captcha image has a blue background.
I'm returning the image using the php function imagejpeg.

Is there anything that foxycart is doing different when caching this image?

    So this was an interesting one. As it turns out, you just happened to include your captcha script in the same place and with the same name that we have one relatively on our side, and our script is set up to show the blue captcha where as yours is yellow.

    Unfortunately though - you can't use our script as a captcha for your form - it will only work on our side.

    For what it's worth - having that kind of form on the checkout isn't actually something we'd recommend anyway. That form is to leave a review - which isn't something you'd want a customer to do right as they're about to pay for an order. If they fill out that form, they'd be redirected away from the checkout and to a high likelyhood of abandoning their order. We'd recommend simply removing that form, and generally speaking any other distraction from the checkout so the customer can focus on completing their order.

    Thanks for the advise, but what if we want to still include that review form, what is the name I should change?

    Since our customers contact us before buying from us, and commit to buy before getting to the checkout we know for sure that they will pay.

    In the medium term, we expect to change the current workflow, but for now we'd like to keep the form.

    It would be possible to keep it - but you'd need to install a SSL certificate on your own website, and then include that contact form within an iframe to ensure that the captcha session is tracked correctly for your domain.
