Multiple Shipping locations for taxes

Given we have equipments to sell in different locations under different business names, how can we apply taxes when an order has as the delivery address the same as one of the business where the equipment is being sold.

Pretty much, we will have to deal with multiple tax rules based on the location of the equipment.

You can apply specific taxes to only specific categories of products - so you could use that to your advantage here. If you create taxes that are specific to the different categories, and only apply those taxes to those categories - that should get you what you're after if I'm understanding you correctly.
  • @fc_adam,

    Thanks for your help.
Is there an API to create these categories and setup the taxes once we've registered and approved a business company that have a set of products?
I believe each category would be tied in a 1:1 relationship with a business company, right?

Unfortunately our current API doesn't allow for the creation of categories and taxes. Or upcoming hypermedia API will, but unfortunately that's not yet ready for primetime.

Currently your best bet will be to create them through the administration.
