Fishbowl integration

Hi,

We are looking at installing fishbowl as a order/inventory management system and I am wondering if anyone has tried a direct integration. Any info at all would be helpful.

Thanks.

    @mfpierce,

    Good question. I'm not aware of any existing available integration. We've had a few users get in touch about fishbowl in the past, but we never heard if they took it any further.

    Depending what Fishbowl needs in terms of an input - a integration could definitely be possible. We have both an API (http://wiki.foxycart.com/static/redirect/api) to allow for ad hoc connections, as well as webhooks with our XML datafeed (http://wiki.foxycart.com/static/redirect/xml_datafeed) which allow you to send each successful order to an endpoint to parse and perform tasks such as handing information on to another system such as fishbowl.

    Following up on this forum posting, Foxycart has tools that allows you to pass information to Quickbooks:

    As such, Quickbooks apparently can then be connected with Fishbowl. If that’s the case, there’s no need to build an API bridge to connect Foxycart directly with Fishbowl, is that correct? If the client is using Quickbooks already, the information should flow in between Foxycart and fishbowl through Quickbooks I'm assuming?

    @flinx777,

    I'm not really familiar enough with the setup and requirements to say for sure - but if that connection fulfils the requirements then yeah, you wouldn't need to integrate them directly.
