Send email about subscription renewal

Hi, if someone has a monthly subscription, is it possible to set up an automated email to go out, say 60 days, before the year is up, to remind them that their subscription is going to be renewed? If so, could you point me to some documentation on how to set that up? Thank you.

    Hi @vinniedauer .
Thank you for getting in touch. Foxy doesn't have anything that handles something like this natively, but using our webhooks or Zapier integration, you could set this up. The easier and recommended approach would be via Zapier. I'll send you an invite to our beta zap.

This would also be possible with the API and a scheduled event / cron on your end. Quick script to pull subs that have a nextdate in 60 days (and don't have an enddate < 60days). Grab them, then loop through them and fire off emails. If you're more technically inclined, that might be an option.

@vinniedauer If you go the Zapier route, you can use their Delay functionality to trigger actions on a specific date or after a specified timeframe:

Let us know if you have any follow up questions.

  • A followup - Zapier says it can't set a delay more than a month in the future, so I'm guessing that what I'm looking for isn't possible?

Thanks for the update, it's a shame that the Zapier approach won't work for your needs here. If you're open to some custom coding, the approach that @brett detailed earlier would work well. Specifically that's setting up a script which polls our API to look for subscriptions that will renew soon and emailing those stores, but then triggering that script to happen at regular intervals using scheduled events/cron jobs. Could that work for you?
